wow, is it realistic to believe this is a better team with this roster than last year? given just a little time, it just may

It is too early to say that. Yes our front line is better because if the maturation of Austin and Shaq, but we need more to identify the peices that all teams need, who is our shooter, break down guy, shot blocker and defensive stopper. Who is our best scoring 5 and defensive best 5? If every1 was going 2 Canada than I would be with you, but right now our team in October will be totally different than the team going to Canada.

I'm just wondering how he could not be eligible if he sat out basketball and was not enrolled in school at all? Seems like that would be a slam dunk, but I guess we are dealing with the NCAA.

What a roller coaster ride. We are still gathering up players.

"Can you imagine if we hadn't gotten Mike Dixon ?" - Last Season

... substitute Kedron Johnson for this coming season ? We shall see.
Without Dixon we would most likely have lost 4 or 5 more games last year. That seems worth it to me.

I enjoyed what Dixon brought to our team last year.....However, I feel the way that he was brought about was premature.....He had missed an entire season thus needed to be allowed to get into the flow more than just throwing him out there.

I also can't help but feel that some of our players regressed because of the assertion of Dixon into the schematics of our team... I think Geron had the most difficulty of restructuring his role to accommodate Dix...then Joe....then Chris and maybe Wilson took a step back as whatever minutes he would have gotten were drastically removed by the addition of Dixon.

So,although I relish the opportunity to have Dixon and the abilities he brought to the team(he helped us win for sure). I was more excited about seeing how Geron's game was going to improve from last year along with the rest of the guards/small forwards and although Dixons time here was appreciated, I feel that the rest of the guys suffered minor setbacks that throttled our team.....If the plan had come together better (coaching) we could have reached incredible heights, as most coaches would have relished the lineup that we employed.....

Just my 2 cents, and I hope we have learned from the past and this year we make waves with the luxuries that we have....everyone buy-in and everyone on one accord for the same goal....No individual gratification.....04-rock

No one played harder while in the game than Dixon. He and Geron both had tremendous motors. Dixon was a better shooter and Geron the better/bigger athlete. If Geron could shoot like Dixon he would have been in the draft. MD was just too small for some of the drives he tried to make even though he got hammered a lot with no calls.

Gr8 point, as I enjoyed what he (Dix) brought to our team...I just don't feel that the luxuries that we had were managed properly to be fully effective(hence, the results of our season). I also feel that due to the acclimation, that Geron was a shell of himself.....coupled with a slight setback with Joe. That if played properly could have yielded more favorable results.....

And, I'm not just speaking of what Dix was able to accomplish here, just more of what our team was not able to achieve with the luxuries that we employed.....JMO

We're way too talented to be throttled by VA...Just evident that we didn't work as well as a team....that's my perspective.

I don't think we'd push someone out if he weren't coming and wouldn't be cleared.
