In my defense, I use the ESPN Pickem in conjunction with
Murphy’s Law in order to produce a more desirable result.

Thus I selected UGA (ten confidence points) to defeat South Carolina.
This, of course forces the pickem gods (that have always hated me) to make Georgia lose.

Although my Pickem is ruined, my overall quality of life
(being obnoxious dawg fan free) is much more satisfying.

I had Georgia at 1 point.

Georgia has always been my favorite SEC team.

I'll always use 10 on LSU if they're in the 10 picks, and always use the highest amount for them in the Bowl Pickem because they're my favorite.

One of my problems with Pickem is that I pick based upon what I objectively think is likely to happen. Many times that goes against the team I hope wins. Then when it gets close, I get conflicted to the point that I swear I'll never pick against my favorite teams again...at least until next week. For example, I took Va Tech last week (didn't everyone?) but in the end, I was pulling for the Pirates underdog to pull off the upset.

I've done that many of times.

RE: ESPN Pickem
Had our offense been on point last Saturday, it would have been much worse for Tennessee.

Alabama looks strong. So does LSU. The SEC east is bipolar.

The East has always been bipolar. The West has 5 teams in the top 10 currently. We'll see what this weekend does about that.

Funny thing was, except for the last few years of robust
we used to use a Yahoo group as our Pickem contest.

irishfutbol used to set it up.

Week 5 games: WTF!

Yeah I really have a handle on Nevada/San Jose State and Temple/UConn. I hope my computer has a random number generator.

Must be doing something right. I'm currently ranked 79th out of 3 million total entrants. That is not a typo. 79 out of 3,000,000.

Nice going.

For the first three weeks of this seasons ESPN baseball challenge I was ranked in the 99 percentile,
then ESPN took a server off line, and locked out about 20% of the participants, including me... I wasn’t
able to make my lineup for three days. When they finally restored my account I was in the 68 percentile.

RE: ESPN Pickem
This week is going to be tough. There are six games that I consider very difficult to judge.

OKLA, Bama, Srarty and Auburn, are the only teams I'd consider a lock and I bet there is at least one upset in that group.

VaTech should be a win over the pathetic UNC, but Beamer's Boys seem to be able to lose winnable games on a regular basis.

I still keep thinking that the Pittsburgh that played BC is hiding, somewhere.

I picked Miami last week but wonder if that was a one off.

Cal/WaSu, who the fvck knows what these two enigmas are going to do.

And ND/Stanford and Miss State/aTm are coin flips.

Week 7

This week I'll either rock or sink because I'm going against the favorites in five games.

Just a warning… if my system continues working,
then Baylor and Ole Miss leave the ranks of the unbeaten.
