"Remolded"? Why would they put mold back in the locker room?

Yes, Western, I know the mistake was made at that joke of a media outlet called al.com.

You are aware that "remolded" is a word right? A word that means to "change or refashion the appearance, structure, or character of"?

Remodeled means the same thing and is a much more common word. al.com caters to the common masses. Remodeled is the word they meant, I'm sure.

I agree with MB here. There is a reason people don't use the word "remold" when referring to buildings.

At Bama, they build new buildings. At Auburn, they remodel buildings. At UAB, they remold them? 05-stirthepot

The old mold did not contribute to many wins. Hopefully they removed the black mold and installed green mold.

To remodel would be to update. A great program that needs a new coat of paint.

To remold would be to start over. It would be going back to the drawing board and recreating the program.

Hopefully, the wording in the headline is correct.

It is the same building. It has been remodeled to contain a locker room.

Yeah, I understand that. I was talking more about it as being a metaphor for the mentality of the new staff with the program.

But I'm probably reading too much into it.

I'm thinking that Coach has taken a big ol' bottle of Tilex to the mold around our program.

this thread is a perfect example of how far we have fallen as a fan base. we have been without hope for so long we have become conditioned to argue over trivial issues like semantics instead of football

At one point, there were talks of renovating an existing space as a temporary locker room until construction on the really fancy new locker room was complete.

It looks like that have scrapped that plan and put all of the resources into the renovation. This is our one and only new locker room, correct?

This is our one and only [football] locker room? Correct.

We have put some currently available resources into the renovation.

It looks like we have scrapped that plan. Incorrect. The football building/fieldhouse - targeted to go on 6th Ave So between Wallace Bldg and the existing practice fields - will still be built and it will contain a new, permanent, fancy-pantsy football-only locker room (with the intention that this building will connect to the when/if future OCS...regardless, it will be the permanent home of locker rooms).

Also, along the same lines, the indoor practice facility will also still be built and likely - miracle aside - before the football building/fieldhouse (miracle, in this case, being a windfall that allows BOTH structures to be built at the same time).
