Good for them. Y'know, I guess Todd's response isn't surprising -- I bet this was an interview question after Hat's issues.

It was surprising to me but then again, I suspect it was written by someone else and he just went along with the flow.

I don't read anything into his statement. It's one of those things he has to say to avoid being fired. I very seriously doubt he wants to be known in football circles as sympathetic to the gay cause -- in his mind that would detract from his tough guy image.

I'd like to think Rice will respond the same way the first time one of our players decides to come out. Or better yet, hopefully we'll soon reach the point where it is no longer news worthy....

I figure about 5 more years. Maybe then too we can do away with the phrase "come out".

As for Toad, I never thought he was pure evil. This action, lip service or not, does nothing to change my perception of him.
