Serious question re: transferring and eligibility
Suppose a player plays a year at a D1 school then transfers to JUCO for a year...is that player (assuming academics are in order) eligible to go back to D1 immediately?

Can anyone think of an example...esp with a player who returns to the school he left after his year in JUCO.

I don't think juco counts in movement, only in number of years played.

Good point. He sat out bewteen Memphis and OM, then went to juco then to UNLV.

I guess same with Marshall Henderson.

So we thinking Dom here? Indications he'll come back after a year of Memphis JuCo?

I don't have the scoop on this. Honestly, I don't see him back. Hope he returns and is possible

I very Seriously believe he isn't coming back....Could be the way the staff still helps him with support, and as stated getting a fresh start, before moving on with his career.....Could happen, but highly unlikely to happen in my opinion....Everyone will move forward...The World Is Ours Memphis...

Speaking in general terms...A plan or goal does not require belief from those who are outside looking in.

It only needs action on the part of the people who are directly involved to make it work.

Ran this through the Tigerscane translator. Translated it says " Expect Dom to be back next year."

As of right now he wants to come back. Lots can happen though since other schools are able to recruit him now and we could find a better player.

Cam Newton did it too. He went from Florida to Blinn JC to Auburn and never sat out a year.

I can't ever remember a player transferring to a JUCO for a year and then coming back to the school that he transferred from. It's usually only done to allow the player to play without sitting out a year.
