6'4 Johnson
6'7 Burrell
6'7 King
6'8 Nichols
6'9 Shaq
a rotation consisting of Pookie, Crawford, Hawkins, Iverson and Godfrey isn't bad.
If we get this kid I think we are right back in the mix for second weekend plus...
Might be a bumpy road early, but that's an awful lot of good basketball players to throw out there by late Feb and March.

It's all about peaking at the right time.
Pastner learned at the feet of the 1-4 master in Olsen. We have some size in the backcourt with some shooting to add to a deadly hi/lo combo of Shaq/Nichols and it could be on like Donkey Kong.
I was high on the Tigers except for experience at the guard spot (none). This transfer, if we're lucky enough to get him, would eliminate that concern and give us a real well structured roster.
Here is hoping.

I hope we can get him. Otherwise we are in big trouble with Pookie as the starter.

I think we'll be fine with Pookie as a starter. He is supposedly quite good. It's just adding an experienced starter would be an upgrade over an inexperienced PG, plus Pookie can learn from a vet.
It's not big trouble I think, it just pushes the team from potentially good to potentially great.

Funny and sad; witnessing the last pathetic, desperate hope at keeping things nice and miserable. Waiting for HoopDreams to weigh in. Should be predictable and funny.

I'm sorry but people thinking Pookie will step in and be good are in for a rude awakening. Maybe in a few years, hopefully.

Define good.
'Carry the team and be the key player?' - unlikely
'Play his role and complement a team led by Shaq/Nichols?' - more likely
I think the first is a reach, and the second feels fine. But we will indeed see.

The first is not happening. The second is a reach. I'm luckily in a good spot where I get good info and was told to temper my expectations.

Fair enough, I don't know your source so I won't argue. It's certainly better than mine (this board, generally). I'll just hope he exceeds your expectations.

Don't do this again. Do not undermine Pookie and the other guards. Let them grow in battle. The spirit of the guards last year suffered with over addition. You recruited them, play them. If u dont show faith in these guys your program will suffer.

Many of us have insider info...and that info is still opinion that varies amongst those 'in the know'.
It's OK if you think you should temper your expectations, but some of us don't need our expectations tempered with rumors--just sayin.

There will be minutes to go around in the backcourt. We return zero minutes at the 1 and 2. I think our guys will all get a chance.

I'm assuming 'knucklehead' is a term of endearment after Geron. I went to school with Kedron, his mother was my teacher, and his dad ran church fundraiser 3-on-3 tournaments that I played in. He was a good kid when I knew him. Nobody really knows what he did to get in trouble at Vandy, but I would assume it was a dumb mistake; I'm sure any of us that went to college did something that we could have gotten expelled for...
