Last year they only managed 34 at home in OT with their senior QB going 30/32.

Last year we returned only 3 starters , out of 22. Two on offense, one on defense. Anyone who knows anything about football knows those are incredibly low numbers and incredibly bad odds to win any sort of opening game, especially considering UAB had 16 returning starters.

We returned 1 of 5 o-linemen and 6 of the 12 in rotation were true or redshirt freshman. Our leading RB in TDs (14) was a true freshman. Our leading RB in yards was a sophmore. We had a SR QB, but the rest of Troys offense (the SBCs best offense by far) was very very young and inexperienced.

Our 3 returning starters and extremely young offense still managed a win against UABs incredibly high 16 returning starters. That to me is incredible.

We return 14 starters this year. I like our chances, but I like UABs chances as well. I'll give it a 50-50. Tight game until the end, last possession wins. No overtime this time.

You were also playing against a dilettante wouldn't know an offensive play call if it jumped on his face and wiggled.

Beating a 2-10 team at home by a field goal in OT is incredible? Aim high.

How about a 99yrd drive w/ less than 2min left in the game w/ a 50yrd pass play to score for UAB on the final play?

That was a great win over Troy Lol as long as we get the W ill be happy. We don't want another SMU.

UAB 30 Troy 28 attendance around 17,000......I think it would be higher if it weren't mid morning kick. It's gonna be hot as hell.......
