Good point.

But he wasn't a cop. That's the kicker.

So the rules are different for one human in fear for his life than another in fear for his?

Yes because cops are held to a higher standard and are trained to handle these kinds of situations. That's why 911 told Zimmerman not to follow. A cop however has the right to follow

So did Zimmerman. So does anyone.

Really ? People have the right to follow and confront people while carrying a loaded weapon? That's a new one on me.

Zimmerman had the legal right to follow… Whether it was wise for him to do so, another story.

He had every right to follow but not to confront with physical force. But He was jumped so He is allowed to Defend Himself. He was on Blockwatch. That was His Duty if He was Suspicious of Stranger. But to Observe and contact Authorities.

That is according to Zimmerman.

Not even Fitbud can do that.

You have been watching too many tv shows if you think that the Police and James Bond actually "chamber a round".

I'll agree with Fit on this... the cop is in a position of authority. Just like if it were a military veteran, I'd hold him also to a higher standard as well. They're trained to respond in a certain way.
