Tom, we weren't interested.. Heck, I agree with you, as fans of the game, we hadn't thought about how Sam played. However, it was SHOVED down our throat after the week 1 game IT was the tag-line for every sports broadcast for the preseason game.
It was used by ESPN, by FOX Sports, CBS Sports, NFL-Network, and the St Louis local TV.
That's the point. Why make that the tag line for a preseason game? There were a ton of other draft picks they could have talked about.. if discussing how a draft choice was what they wanted to do.

Can anyone tell me who was the #1 draft pick for the Rams and how much he played or what he did Friday night? I can't.. Even when we got home Saturday evening, and watched the pre-game stuff to see if there was any mention of the Saints, it was all about Michael Sam and Sam Bradford (granted he is the starting QB).
