Someone should probably tell them it's not sanitary to bathe in a drainage ditch

Christening in the traditions...
Been winning for over 30 years now, having waded in the mystic waters of Beautiful Eagle Creek!

The very home of the famous large mouth Statesboro gnat is the perfect place for GS to hold weddings,
anniversaries, Christen football teams, have babies, and live it up to no end. And some ask why some
App State fans call it The Stink.

There ain't nothin' like a good, old-fashioned Boro baptism! Got to be one of my favorite traditions.

I'm going to go refill my jug with Eagle Creek water soon, so i'll have it for the NC State game. 04-cheers

I was thinking the same thing. That thing doesn't look clean.

Not supposed to be clean...

... It's supposed to work.

And does.

See the milk jug? That's probably what will be poured on NC State's field. A gallon is taken to all away games and poured out during the walk through.

itsmeagain:

Yes it is... You are correct.

Hence the name given, chuckling, by Erk Russell.

It ain't the beauty it's the power.

PS-- the year this tradition was not observed we went 3-8 under he who shall not be named.

In most parts of the world people are discouraged from entering waterways that look like that. I don't think that was what Ponce de Leon had in mind.

I highly recommend all SBC'ers to view this video. Give y'all some insight into our culture and, perhaps, quirkiness.

Eh... There's always a trickle. But the water rises quite substantially when it rains.

We see those creeks here in Arkansas. As a boy I probably waded in several in our hot summer's. This is a great tradition by Georgia Southern. I think Tracy Ham slept in the creek before y'all came up and played us in the NC game in '85.
