I really don't get why this is considered shady. This type of stuff happens all the time. If the coach can help bring in a player, is he not worth hiring? College basketball is all about recruiting. How do you think we got brown here? As long as the guy fits the job requirements and the school is okay with the hire, I have a hard time getting upset over this stuff.

It's funny that Memphis fans are the one who is up in arms over this because they are recruiting Skal. However, Pastner just hired Keenon Lawson to get his sons to commit to the Tigers.

Not shady. Legal, and happens all the time.
