The AD at FIU must have some good blackmail over some P5 teams.

I think his pitch is something like "how would you like to score an easy road win in the recruiting hot bed of Florida while your fans and alumni soak up the sun in Miami?"

Thanks ECBrad, missed USF.

Yup, missed them as well. FIU will be our first OOC game on campus in 2015. So slowly, starting in 2015 playing a more realistic OOC schedule.

but other than those 2, UMass is the only one. 04-cheers

and not to pick on UMass but a team from Amherst playing a team from Boston in Gillette stadium is the home team in name only. But regardless, kudos to UMass for getting BC to even agree to play.

It gives teams a trip to Miami to put their "brand" out there to recruits and come away with a win.

It was expensive, but something that we needed to do to share the big stage. It's the only 2-1 we agreed to and so looking forward to opening day. We will shock the media perception of us as the worst FBS team.

I am not sure if Hawai'i even counts because of their rule.
