WMU's David Brown granted 6th year
David Brown, who missed parts of two years with injuries, was granted a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA. Western lost Whittington but no one else. They should be near the top of the conference again.

While Brown is an excellent player, Whittington was a "skilled" low post player that are hard to come by in a Mid Major conference like the MAC. He will be missed!

I don't know all of what went on, but what's the difference between him getting injured for 2 years, and TJ Fatinukin(?) Missing parts of 2 years? TJ abt granted a sixth year.

NCAA rules are cut and dry. There is no gray area. You either qualify or you don't. Fatinikun played in more than 30% of Toledo's games in one of the years he was injured.

Brown didn't play in 30% of WMU's games during the two years he got injured, and none of the games were past the mid point of the season.

Poster on bobcattack said the same thing about Ricardo Johnson. And I guarantee NIU fans are gonna go bananas in 3 years if/when Dontel Highsmith gets denied for a 5th year because he played in 34% of NIU's games last year.

West will be a three team race this basketball season, Broncos, Rockets, and Huskies are the big three.
