I can't wait till the G5 has a legit undefeated in the top 10. It's going to be interesting watching the ESPN and Fox talking heads legitimize their exclusion.

Interesting and sad.

Fox will talk them up, CBS talking heads will explode. NBC will be opening their skirt to SBC.

Funny. The biggest cupcake on the schedule says that. 8 of those cupcakes would curb stomp ODU

Edit. Rhode Island is the biggest cupcake, ODU is the sprinkles on that cupcake.

OK, smart guy. Put your money where your predictions are. Your fellow Marshall fan predicted 4-8 for ODU. I am willing to make it interesting.

A bushel of Chesapeake Bay crabs delivered, steamed and seasoned, to your trailor in the middle of nowhere for 2 quarts of authentic "apple pie" WV moonshine if ODU does better than 4-8. Wanna play or just want to make stupid predictions based upon no reasonable knowledge of what you are getting into?

Feel free to go to the CAA JMU boards and revisit their predictions of how long to would take for ODU to be a viable competitor. And their arses are pretty sore. They have multiple threads about how ODU has passed them. You Appalachian mountain folk think similarly and not so strategically. So man up or shut up. Your choice. Take the bet, Sparky.

XOXO,
Your new rival.

p.s. and for the record, it is not a "rivalry" until both teams win a game. Which means that Marshall will have to earn their way to rivalry status in 2015 and beyond, pending better results.

Hahaha. 1-4 vs fbs and a lone win vs idaho is not success!

And to the ECU fan, i know ODU almost beat you, but you were also just a step above the sprinkles.

Seriously. ODau will be lucky to win 4. I doubt it. I say 3. And ill wear an ODU owns me avatar for a year if they win 6 or more. Will you upload a PDU doesnt belong avatar if you only win 3?

And if you have to win for it to be a rivalry, by your definition, ODU will never be marshalls rival. Charlotte, maybe, will be your only saving grace to keep you off the bottom of the division. Youll finish at best 5th and likely at the very bottom of the division. The panthers of FIU will give you a run for your money. But beat your chests about that Idaho win. Those crazy vandals are tough

It's been repeated a million times, but Louisville backed out of a home game this year forcing us to schedule Rhode Island. This will be the first time since the Herd moved up to FBS 18 years ago there hasn't been a power conference team on the schedule so don't blame us for purposefully setting up a soft slate.

As for the Marshall fan calling ODU a cupcake, they are far from the weakest team on our schedule. Rhode Island, FIU, Southern Miss, UAB, and Miami are undoubtedly worse. I don't think ODU is the best on our schedule either, but I think they are our toughest conference game because of home/away considerations.

I disagree. I think they are the most overrated team in our conference. They have proven nothing against fbs competition. Until they do so? i wont give them credit for doing so. I think usm beats them. Uab beats them. Fiu gives them a game and miami is probably worse but still i give the fbs teams the edge.

Plus on another note. I am having a blast just stirring the pot.

I haven't seen ODU's schedule but knowing how the CUSA East is this season I'm guessing anywhere from 4-6 wins depending on how big of a leap they've taken in the offseason.

Are you serious? You have only beaten us three times in CUSA. Once in overtime. Once against a young team. And again last year against a QB who had surgery on his throwing hand 3 days before. And as for ODU it was their first FBS game they were pumped up and for us it was just a FCS team not to mention we had very little film. Then UNC needed that win to secure bowl eligibility and had at least 4 games of film on them.
