Robin Williams
Comediac actor Robin Williams was found dead, apparently by his own hand.

I mostly enjoyed his work, but even when I didn't, I appreciated his talent. RIP Mr. Williams.

RE: Robin Williams
Sad.

He could never get the horse off his back.

Just because you have talent, fame-recognition, and money doesn't mean you're happy and are having a good life.

Like Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

In Seymour Hoffman's case, there's a fine line between genius and insanity.

RE: Robin Williams
Money, fame and adulation mean nothing to somebody fighting severe depression. Very sad day.

Was very talented and also very troubled.

R.I.P. Robin.

Didnt want to go there because it's so recent. But I agree, he fit into that same category.

The world lost a great comic today. May he rest in peace.

RE: Robin Williams
This one took me back big time.

I just read an interview (name escapes me) on how he met Robin Williams, and how unassuming and genuine he was.

Depression/demons never rest, I watched them up close and personal with someone close back in Arizona. Guy had it all going for him. Did the same thing, I'll never forget looking back and realizing how ashen and hollow he looked in the days leading up to it.

They just wait for their moment to seize. I know it's not very in line with my upbringing to hope that what I was taught about people taking their own life is wrong, but in this case I sincerely hope the Apostles and everyone else are dead wrong, how can someone be punished for an illness they can't fight?

I hope he's free of those demons and in a better place.

Indeed.

And it reminds me of the Robin Williams movie I most associate with him, and it's not one of his "popular" ones. It's called What Dreams May Come - pretty powerful. Cinematography is unreal.

Basically, Williams' character dies in an auto accident and he goes to heaven. But his devastated wife left behind commits suicide and winds up in hell, which isn't the fire and brimstone hell but a dark corner of some weird realm alone with her pain. So he makes it his quest to 'rescue' her.

RE: Robin Williams
I see tweets all over from other celebs stating they " lost a dear friend". I wonder how many if them had talked to him in the past week, month, 2 months, 6 months.

DB compassion and mercy will be afforded to all, so I have hope for Robin Williams in the afterlife!

The man gave so much entertainment to so many for so long.

Hope he knew that, before he made the choice he did for whatever reason(s) he did.

Life is not always easy even for the gifted-talented, rich, and famous.

Safe to say that we took him for granted, he was always there and always delivered. It became expected, how special he was and how well he delivered. On top of that he was an extraordinarily nice man by all accounts.

In other words, he was a success. The way he went out notwithstanding. I'm still trying to get my arms around an entertainment world without him.
