Yeah, I was amused at the two comments taking a dig at goofus and Iowa, especially since he wasn't critical of the AAC. Iowa has in fact been relevant nationally since 1981 and since 2001 has five top 10 finishes. In the last 13 season they only have three seasons in which they didn't finish in the top four of the Big 10.

Yes, that's silly to dump on Iowa. I don't care much for the B1G but I always think of Iowa as a tough B1G school that is competitive nationally.

I can tell you that before LSU played Iowa in the Outback Bowl last year, down here in Baton Rouge, LSU fans and local radio commentators, who are a cocky and arrogant bunch, talked respectfully about Iowa and expected a close game, which is what happened.
