Including laser beam for a TD by Joe and a TD run by the D-Train.

They looked really good especially Joe. Webb was player of the game if that tells you anything.

Joe led them on two 4th quarter TD drives, and was driving again at the end when a ball bounced off some skillet-hand receiver into an interception.

This is true, a pass he would catch ten out of ten times. Darrin had two td's one called back so he did it again. It seem the organization likes both guys despite Joe being the last QB to play. Joe has to beat out Derek Anderson and Reaves has to get to third RB status which my come down to special teams.

They'll have to prove that game wasn't a fluke. They'll have to do it again. Both still have a ways to go. I doubt Joe beats out Anderson, a former starter who has played a lot of games - the prototypical NFL #2 QB. Darrin has 3-4 guys ahead of him who also are experienced. I do feel that Darrin will, at the very least, be on a practice squad somewhere in the league. Joe's path, due to his being jerked between QB and WR his 1st few years rather than having that time to focus on 1 position, will be more difficult. He is essentially starting over and his age, compared to the other guy who would be the #3 QB, may be a problem. The #3 QB is typically a young developmental guy whose is mostly on the inactive roster. However, with Cam's ankle, they may decide to keep 4 QBs...

Their # 3 (Blanchard?) looked god-awful. Joe schooled him.

They talked about keeping three qbs if they kept Joe. Two if they did not. I guess that means they would utilize Joe in other ways to justify keeping a third.

If he keeps it up he will make it. I think Train is a longer shot. Hopefully he will make it on special teams.

Another thing Joe has going for him: he's a really good guy, a great teammate. The other guys love him. That goes a long way in the clubhouse...

I think Joe makes as they keep him as the 3rd QB. With Cam's bum ankle, he is not at all a given for this next season and Joe is the closest thing in the NFL to Cam that you can afford to have on your bench.

This was something I noticed too from Cam to Rivera to the Panthers D. I think they may keep three QB's and Joe would be the third. My Cowboys only keep two QB's on the roster and a handful of other franchises. I think they like Reaves but he afford any mistakes I.e. misses blocking assignments, lost fumbles.

I would be shocked if any nfl team had 4 qbs on the roster. The roster is just too limited to justifying that. Their is a good chance that joe could be kept as a 3rd qb who can do multiple things though.

RE: Highlights from Carolina game
If Cam's rapport with Joe has anything to do with it, then you have to like Joe's chances. Cam was all over the sidelines cheering his squad on the other night, but there was an extra bounce in his step when he was watching/cheering Joe.

Joe might be an easier guy to keep around in order to keep from having two separate gameplans. As someone else has already said, there aren't many guys who can pull off the dual threat in the NFL, but Cam is making a living doing it and Joe is the closest thing they could get to keep some consistency there...should he be needed.

Joe is at least the 3rd best QB on the team. I think he will make the team.

D-Train has some work to do but has some time to show his worth.
