Pope calls crusade!
Hypothetical question.

If the Pope called a crusade to end the Islamic terror that has been set upon Catholic/Christians in the area. What amount of the catholic population would go. And would any other Christian religion go as well?

Discuss?

I'm sure the number would be in the hundreds of thousands with tens of millions more sending in money to fund a war. However I can't imagine a situation in which the pope would call for a crusade. Things would really have to hit rock bottom for that to happen. I'd imagine that something along the lines of the caliphate truly gaining traction and thus putting us all in danger of having to learn to speak arabic would do the trick. In that situation even atheists and other Non-Christian religions would take up arms.

Its easy to thank Bush now for all he did after we have had 6 years of complete incompetence. We haven't been this irrelevant as a country since Carter.

I'm siding with Fit on this. I dont' see it happening, unless the Muslims went on the attack against the Vatican

Saddam was a jerk but he was secular and didn't let these radicals get out of hand.

Actually, Fit. he did.. as long as hey were HIS radicals. And he just made sure to clamp down on the reports of it. (The "If a tree falls in the forest and nobody hears it" policy).

Wanna see Christians get condemned? Let them stand up to ISIS, kill a few of them, and then let the media see the bodies of dead Muslims.

I won't deny that what you say is true but this is far more extreme. Saddam would not have let it get this far

The Jesuits are actually a 6000 year old cult of assassins that were once, and temporarily, known as the Knights Templar and who secretly control the Freemasons. The Pope is a 34th degree Mason who at a single command can unleash the forces under the Sator Square.

This would never happen, but I know a few Catholics that would totally sign up for a crusade. They're the kind who believe in transubstantiation and supernatural holy relics.

I would say it is possible if the nations of the world sit idly by why Christians are massacred.

Really? Tell that to all the people who were killed because they didn't adhere to the Popes version of Christianity. Then as today it was a Muslim copy of a religious/political entity. The Pope ain't no more Christian than you are.

There's a spectrum of how supernatural people are willing to believe the world is.

God is in the Bible. Not the Constitution.

Transubstantiation is a critical tenet of Catholicism. There is not getting around that. That separates Catholics from many Protestant religions. As far as supernatural relics could you be more specific?
