Sadly the worst loss of the night isn't UC's for sure, it's up for debate! Yes, you lost to Wofford by 1 at home. At least Wofford's lone loss though is by 4 point @ NC State. They seem to be sort of respectable.
Rutgers...
They lost on a 3 pointer at the buzzer to 0-4 Jackson St. I will say that JSU is supposed to win the SWAC. That's not much to brag about because the SWAC champ has a near permanent slot in the NCAA play-in game due to being a horrible league (Worst in the nation last year).
Granted they have been playing very good teams from major leagues so far, but JSU's losses were by 31, 30, 21, & 42. However, that may be a fair assessment of what would happen if Rutgers played Bama, Georgia Tech, Illinois, or Memphis themselves right now.

BE basketball might be a tad down this year, but Marquette looks very good against Duke.

I dont' care....UC doesn't lose to teams like Wofford....at home or ont he road. That is just pathetic.
I know it's going to be tough year for the Bearcats...but come on, ya still don't lose to Wofford.

Rutgers doesn't lose to teams like Jackson State but I expect this season to be a wash. Hill needs a year to recruit and a year to get acclimated to being a head coach for once. I'd bet many of Waters's recruits don't want to play for him. At least we still have Football. (Used to be the other way around and we'd still be depressed during BB season too unless we were watching the women who themselves look shaky this year.)

The top of the league should be very good once again....but this league won't have near the depth that last yrs did or even the last few yrs....I can give the Hall, UC and RU a pass since they are breaking in new coaches. Especially UC, since they are breaking in a brand new team as well. I don't know what to do with Providence though. They have really struggled the last few yrs. Their fan base is small. The school doesn't spend a lot of money on sports. Its a shame too because PC has a ton of hoops tradition

I think parity has hit college basketball in a big way. The early entry to the NBA and the dependance of Power programs going after one and two year rentals for instant glory has sent good 4 year players to mid-majors. An experienced mid-major team can beat anyone.

I'm a big one for ragging on Seton Hall and Providence, but I'm lovin' the Friars tonight.
They beat the beagles!
Cheers,

Well maybe USF will get a shot at playing in Madison Square Garden this year. The Bulls are looking a lot better than last year and will be adding three players that should be starters in December. The OCC schedule is interesting the Bulls could be 9-0 heading into a four game schedule of UNLV, Missouri State,UAB and Wake Forest that will let the fans know more on where the Bulls stand before Big East play. Anyway you look at it it will be a BIG improvement on last year.

No one is expecting much from UCONN this year because we are so young but the Huskies have improved every game to 4-0. UCONN just blew our Ole Miss to win the Hispanic Classic. I expect UCONN to be a much better team come January or March. We will make our run in the NCAA like we always do. We are young but super talented.
