It's interesting that in the south, the most hated team in the state is a state team for every state except Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee and Georgia.

Kentucky - UK
Virginia - VT
North Carolina - UNC
South Carolina - USC-E
Florida - UF
Alabama - Alabama
Mississippi - Ole Miss

Texas is commanding a big swath of hate around them. Not a surprise.

I like that Kansas's most hated team is Missouri and Missouri's most hated team is Kansas. Too bad they don't play each other.

It makes sense. Take Florida for example. There are more UF fans here than any other fanbase. Thus, fans of every other school have to deal with tons of UF fans on a daily basis. This could cause people who live in Florida to vote that their most hated team is UF.

Imagine living in Ohio around a bunch of Ohio State fans. You'd probably hate Ohio State.

My son's girlfriend's family is from Missouri. One time while talking about hunting he brought up that his family hunted elk in Colorado every year when he was growing up. I mentioned it must be great to have such a short drive to a legendary area to hunt he said "It wasn't for us. We got to Colorado via Oklahoma, Texas, and New Mexico." When I asked why he said "My family was in Missouri during the Civil War. We don't go to Kansas."

I think I speak for 99% of Cardinal fans that the team we hate most is UK. We hate them more than all other schools combined multipied by a billion. Others that we hate are West Va, Memphis, and Virginia Tech.

Like any self-respecting PITT fan, Penn State and West Virginia are my two least favorite teams. I think the rest of the world has, in recent years, seen exactly why PITT fans loathe those two fan bases as we do. They are, for different reasons, each completely unbearable.

I don't have strong opinions about any ACC teams. Hopefully, that will change over time.

Wilkie, I am shocked.....shocked, that BC is on your "hate" list! :). What has BC done to earn this hate designation from you? After all, it was BC, VT, and Miami's "treasonous" decision to leave the BE (not that any other BE school thereafter ever left in an exactly similar fashion [insert sarcasm here] :) ) that created the opening in the BE for UL.
BC and UL have so little on-the-field history, not sure where the hate would come from. In future years, now that they will be playing each other annually, sure. But now, just don't see it.

I additionally "hate" Notre Dame and Tennessee, followed closely by the little brother that thinks he can but really can't - Memphis.

For Syracuse, maybe Penn State? Not really sure I hate any other team. I just love Syracuse.
