Wow, that was horrible! If they spent half the time doing some research into our conference and our teams that they do coming up with their graphics and lame music, it might actually be worth an adolescent's time.

I can't wait for the season to start. We are going to make these guys look like fools by the end of it. Marshall, Rice, North Texas, UTSA, MT, FAU and probably WKU will end the season bowl eligible.

If either of those guys could name 5 players on any one of our teams, I'd be shocked.

SSJ, while I agree with you that those guys likely couldn't name 5 players on any team in America, they won't be impressed with how many bowl games any of us play, who we play, or where we play.....so no, they won't look like fools. Let's face it, with 188 bowls almost anyone with a pulse gets a bowl slot.

It just is what it is.

I have no interest in impressing them. I want C-USA to make them look like fools. And they will.

I'm sure these idiots made a preview for the Sun Belt that you could discuss on your board. I don't understand your fascination with C-USA. You claim to prefer the Sun Belt, though you have yet to claim the "Belt Nationalist" label, and spend an awful lot of time on our board. ULL is going to have a good season. Why aren't you over on the Cajun board or Belt board discussing it?

They did make a preview, and you can find it on the Sun Belt board in the thread started by CajunFanatico attempting to bash C-USA.

Because he is obsessed with CUSA. Just look at the amount of time he spends here and the number of posts. He posts and spends more time here than he does in the SB Board. Pathetic.

No one is honoring you on this board.

I know there are several ULL fans that want to join C-USA. You may not be one of them, but I know they outnumber fans like you. Believe it or not, fans have influence. Many people on this board regularly speak to the AD and others within their programs. Including myself. I wish you could understand how your approach is viewed by others. It doesn't reflect well on your fan base.

Someone is a little defensive. All I did was ask who your wins were against. You seem to be a little insecure about your 7-2 OOC record.

SSJ, if I may, I'd like to set the record straight on a few items.

You're wrong, there aren't several Cajun fans who want to join C-USA. I'd say it's the majority or has been....though it's not so much what C-USA has to offer as just getting out of the SunBelt at any cost.

I, of course, am against making a conference move at this date for a number of reasons:

1) It's expensive, funds are scarce and need to be spent wisely. I don't consider moving conferences for the sake of moving conferences a wise business decision for anyone.

2) Conference-USA is but a shell of its former self, no? As I've said before, a football fan from 5 years ago traveling to today would not recognize the conference. Why make the jump now if one has no idea of how the conference's new lineup with fare.

3) I believe the SunBelt is rapidly improving.....on the field, and in the mind's of those who study the game and comment on the game....like in the videos posted in the OP. The more I read about C-USA, the more negative comments I encounter about what has happened to the conference.

4) On-the-field performance over the last several years has revealed that our two conferences are virtually equal.

The problem with my "approach" is that I've had to try various approaches when discussing this issue with you guys. When I first tried I was insulted as being blind to the fact that C-USA carried so much more prestige, recognition, fame, yada yada yada. Yeah, it was a prestigous conference in the past, but that's no longer the case and you guys simply refused to hear anything to the contrary. It was basically, "kiss my ring and move on slumbelter".

Well sorry, kissing rings ain't my style.

And I know the fan voices can make a difference, but that too depends on the administration. If you don't believe me, read Tulane's boards. It seems their former administration and current AD basically covered their ears and said, "la la la la la la la" every time someone tried explain to them how they viewed improving their athletic programs should be done.

At the end of the day though, we fans are nothing more than chatter in the background. There are business decisions to be made on all sides and I sincerely hope our administration makes decisions that are best for the longterm health of the athletic department of the school I love, as opposed to giving short-term comfort to a fanbase who wants out of the SunBelt at any cost.

I don't need to apologize to anyone for expressing my views firmly and clearly and obviously don't care how I'm viewed by others. In a nutshell, I'm confident I'm right and every passing day gives me more confidence of such.

Great go back to the awesome Sun Belt board. The conference that had to add Idaho, New Mexico St and Georgia State to their football product and STILL haven't even gotten to 12 schools..... ULL would jump in a second to CUSA. That says all you need to know about where they stand on the totem pole.

I see you have written a very long response to my post. I'm going to be honest. I didn't read it, and probably won't. I've read enough of your posts that I probably have a good idea about what's in it anyway. Enjoy the Sun Belt. It is a good home for ULL. I hope ULL plays there for a very, very,... very long time. 04-cheers
