Middle Tennessee (our travel partner) has now released their schedule, thereby revealing ours.

Home and homes against MT, La Tech, USM FIU and FAU. We went 1-5 against that group last year with a much more experienced squad.

This could be a tough year.

We could easily lose our first four road games.

So how are the divisions set up? Or are they? We only play Charlotte, ODU, or WKU once...

It appears they used travel and RPI to do the home and homes outside of MTSU. I don't think anybody has an exact answer on this yet, but that's what the speculation is.

So, what's the deal with LSU? I've always worried that they were going to get out of that return game...

Banowsky gave an interview not long after this past season where he said the conference was going to start tailoring the schedule every year to maximize RPI for the best teams. There are a few mid-major conferences that have gone to that model in recent years.

LSU date added

No conflicts or double headers with football this year, so far.

Sat 11/22: women's game vs Alcorn St same day as football game vs Marshall

A good thing about this schedule is the back end of it sets up nicely if this team starts to gel. All of the last ten games should be winnable, with the more difficult games(on paper) being home games.

Like that we have USF at home right before the tournament.

When I renewed my basketball tickets, the home games w/ dates was in my confirmation email.

Here are the ones not in the list above:

UNC Pembroke = November 7th (would assume this is an exhibition)
Young Harris College = November 17th
Jax st = November 23rd
Morehead St = December 1st
UNC Ashville= December 14th

I doubt we would play an exhibition game against someone so far away. Usually exhibition games are regional like Montevallo. I am guessing this is a regular season game like last year. Same with Young Harris.

Morehead State was 143 in the RPI last year, better than us. UNC Asheville was 216.

I hope that's not the case. There's no reason to be playing any D2 schools for regular season games.

The Regular Season opener is 11/15. Any game earlier than that is an exhibition. This exhibition appears to be a "favor" game as UNC Pembroke's coach was an assistant at Kansas while Coach Haase was there.

I'm okay with this home slate. We could have done much worse than what we wound up with. We have a lot of middle tier games that should be winnable.
