RE: 2014-15 Men's Basketball Schedule Update
We have a very young team. I don't have a problem with some winnable games this year.

Not at all. But we don't have the complete garbage all over the schedule like last year either. This schedule is good enough to get us in a post season tournament if we play well.

RE: 2014-15 Men's Basketball Schedule Update
Yep. This schedule would have been great if we had chad, as we would've been more likely to win some of the tougher games and get in position for an NCAA berth. If our freshmen and sophomores continue to progress and brown is as good as I hope, hopefully we can have a similar schedule next season and get into the NCAAs. I'm not shutting the door completely on that possibility this season, but I'm definitely not counting on it.

Samford has everything to lose and nothing to gain by playing UAB.

RE: 2014-15 Men's Basketball Schedule Update
I'm going with 16-17 D1 wins...about what we've seen the last two years. The thing that I didn't like to see was the team hitting a wall like a Frazier-thrown laptop and actually regressed. 9911 is right in that the conference slate ends with much more winnable games, and we get to play the conference tourney at home.

People don't like to hear that the team regressed over the course of the season last year. They like to blow that off and say we had an average to bad team all year..

Teams figured out we couldn't shoot or dribble...

Yep. Wasn't rocket science. I don't think the team got along after a certain point, and the results on the court followed.

Keep standing up for haase because you think it's not kosher to criticize a coach after two seasons. The team was worse at the end of the year than they were at the beginning. They regressed. We couldn't shoot or dribble all year long. Other teams adjusted and we didn't. I'm not he's a BAD coach, as the jury is still out on him, but that's not a sign of great coaching.

Who was our PG last year?
I ask because I think that PG play was a bigger problem than Haase was.

RE: 2014-15 Men's Basketball Schedule Update
I'm certainly not laying the results all at the feet of the coach, as many here will no doubt insinuate that I am. However, the results last year and the way the Frazier thing was handled this offseason leave me with a lot of questions about Haase.
But to be back on topic, I love this years schedule. I just wish we could win a few of these big games. There's a chance for us to be pretty good this year, but we may be waiting until next year YET AGAIN

RE: 2014-15 Men's Basketball Schedule Update
Lol smh
The leading scorer a problem, how about a senior or two that played worst then the freshmen class.
Also a three man who refused to shoot a three pointer simple basketball. This first exhibition game shown nineteen turnovers if you play uptempo youre expected to have ten To's alone. CJH shouldve benched Swing have way through the season with Purifoy and Ruck at the four.
Also neither team would lose anything in a game between UAB & Samford neither has done anything of late may barely get tv in Bham. UAB just had back to back losing seasons.

UNC-Pembroke and Young Harris are both in DII Peach Belt Conference, same conference as Montevallo... why not just play Montevallo? You'd actually sell some tickets to the visiting team.
