NIU athletic concessions officials should buy out all the hot dogs before the start of the game, creating an immediate shortage in true NIU tradition. Then, they can sell those same hot dogs at the Presbyterian game for $2 each and make a tidy 100% profit.
DF, I love your style big guy... I know some on this board don't find you as funny, but you kill me.. too funny
That's because you are extremely intelligent and have a fantastic sense of humor. Also, you are probably handsome as hell and the women admire you with your clothes off. Forget the others, stick with me, and you will go places, my friend!!
let the hotdog famine become the hotdog plague!!
don't forget to model your presbyterian gameday t-shirts with pride!

It was an exciting game with a large contingent of people wearing NIU gear. There were not very many empty seats, which is pretty good for a Thursday game. The band played before game time, and I completely missed them, because my friends were late to the game. They sounded good.
It was a defensive struggle for most of the game, which is rare in this league. The Cougars were down 1-0, until the bottom of the eighth, when they came alive and scored four runs. They shut down Quad Cities in the top of the ninth to win the game 4-1.
The Silverettes and Cheerleaders were there. I saw Victor E. walking around the concession stands. He must have known where the dollar hot dogs and beers were.

Crowd announced at 11,000 plus.
Place was packed.
Lots and lots of red.
Band, cheer and Silverettes looked great.
Well done by the Cougars and NIU.

The band, cheerleaders, Silverettes, and Victor E. were all in mid-season form. The band sounded great and the Silverettes and cheerleaders did an excellent job performing in between innings for the crowd. The weather was ideal. Cool and dry.
The only negative to the night was the jammed concession stands. It appeared that the Cougars were not prepared for the crowd. The lines were 30-40 deep at the beer vendors as well as many of the food vendors.

It was all NIU fans trying to grab up all the hot dogs they could.

Excellent turnout last night. Good job by all involved. Now if we could just turn half those people who were wearing red gear into season ticket holders we would be set. That's what is up to the marketing department.
