It's now scheduled for a 1pm(Eastern), 12pm(Central) kickoff.

We have 3 games left that haven't been picked up for TV, this being one of them. We gotta get that fixed.

Welp, ask and you shall receive. ESPN announced the Akron game will have a 12-day window for channel and time.

Just @FIU and @UAB left.

Not cool.

I have a lot of respect for UAB and all the things they have to deal with just to even have a program. I honestly think UAB is another sleeping giant in this conference if they could get ever catch a bone from the higher ups in the state.

I honestly don't think anyone who's left in this conference can post attendance smack talk.

RE: Marshall @ UAB
I always look forward to the games at UAB. Legion Field has been the host of some of the greatest memories of my life. I wish UAB would go 11-1 every year. I have a lot of respect for Bill Clark based on what I know of him from the high school coaches that I know and their relationships with him. If Marshall has the season that we all are expecting then I would not be surprised if there were thousands of Herd fans in the Magic City that day. It'll be the closest game for many family and friends from Marshall's newest pipeline state, Georgia.

Most UAB/Birmingham people will be more upset about the Dreamland comment than any kind of smack talk you could throw at UAB.

I was going to say something about that and figured you can't blame someone for not knowing our local food scene. Come fall we can post a food thread for them

I had some wings from Saw's BBQ on Avondale when I came down for a job interview back in the winter. Very good!

So what's up with Dreamland? It was good. Are there like 10 better BBQ places in Birmingham or what?

Dreamland is good. Yes there are better BBQ joints in Birmingham but Dreamland is decent. Especially if you like homemade banana pudding!

DL - depends on which location you go to & what time of day you catch them in the cooking cycle. You may catch the ribs at the one near UAB on a good day but may not. I do like the UAB DL half chicken, the rest of the meats are so-so most of the time.

RE: Marshall @ UAB
My favorite BBQ restaurants in the Birmingham area are:

Saw's
Green Top
Big Daddy's
Bob Syke's
Full Moon
Top Hat
Golden Rule
Costa's

All of these encompass a pretty expansive area surrounding Birmingham and throughout Jefferson County but it is just some of the options I prefer over Dreamland. I honestly believe that one of the reasons I dislike Dreamland so much is because of their relationship with UAT. The food is good, I just feel as if it is too commercialized now. Jim and Nick's has some amazing sides or as they refer to them, "fixins'". I usually get smoked turkey when there thoihh because I don't care for their pork. If you UAB fans know of anywhere else in the area that you think I should try then let me know!

RE: Marshall @ UAB
You can get bbq at my place that beats just about any commercial place or our tailgates 02-13-banana I'm a KCBS judge as well as team though I've not competed in some time. If any come down for the game stop by BT tailgate

From your list I'd say Saw's for pork, don't care for Big Daddy nor Top Hat for meats though TH has some good sides. Drop Costa's & Golden Rule they've gone way downhill. Bob Sykes is ok but has good & bad days depending on who's manning the pit that day. I like Full Moon brisket & pork sandwiches. JimnNicks is good all around but I think their pork/ribs have gone down a bit but will agree on the turkey. Since FM & JnN are more franchised now locations vary.

I used to know some hole in the wall mom & pop places that were good in my younger days but have gotten away from them so don't know if many are still open or not. Ken's out by Jeff St was good, The Pit BBQ down by the Civic Ctr, The Georgia Pit out on 280 past the JnN(guy has trailer set up at gas station to serve)
