Huskies in the NFL 2014
With NFL preseason about here, it would be nice to have a list of all former Huskies out there currently on a team or trying to make a team along with their number. I try to watch all NFL preseason games that have former Huskies in them.

Here is what I have - add to it whatever/ whoever you know along with any of the latest news.

Dallas Doug Free #68 Ken Bishop #66

San Francisco Jimmie Ward #25

Tennessee Jason Schepler #89

Indianapolis Chandler Harnish #5

Denver Nathan Palmer #13

Chicago Jordan Lynch #36

Jordan Lynch improves chances of making Bears roster because he’s never late at training camp

Has Martel Moore not shown up at any camp? I thought for sure that guy would be playing on Sundays. Perhaps the Bears would take a look at him given that their #3 WR got hurt yesterday.

Looks like Tel is up in Canada....SASKATCHEWAN ROUGHRIDERS, not looking so hot apparently

Quote:Rookie quarterback #17 Jon Jennings came a long way from Day 1. He launched a 60-yard bullet which sailed through the hands of receiver Martel Moore. One defensive back squealed from the sidelines in a high-pitched voice, "They can't catch 'em today!"

I'll be at the Jags-Bucs game on Friday. Hopefully Rashaan Melvin can stay healthy until then

Great write up of Joe Windsor's athleticism! He dropped .42 off his 40 to 4.51 & added 20 lbs in our NFL combine prep pic.twitter.com/01H6R2gsuN

What happened to Baxter and Perez Ashford? Both cut as well?

Also, I could of sworn Scott Wedige was on the Cardinals and Spann was on the Jets?

Cowboys Visit With English; Pass-Rusher Leaves Unsigned

Posted Jul 24, 2014

Nick Eatman DallasCowboys.com Staff Writer Follow nickeatman on Twitter All Nick Eatman Articles

OXNARD, Calif. – The Cowboys have already acquired three former first-round picks this offseason, just to see if they’ve got anything left in the tank.

In fact, the Cowboys actually had a fourth former first-rounder at the Oxnard practice facility Thursday.

Although the club visited with recently-cut pass-rusher Larry English, the pass rusher who was recently waived by the Chargers, left the Cowboys’ training camp without signing.

The Cowboys were likely just doing their due diligence in visiting with English, who was able to drive up from the San Diego area.

English has had his share of health issues, which led to his released by the Chargers. He suffered a torn biceps injury last season in November and recently underwent a knee scope. English is likely a couple of weeks away from being able to pass a physical.

The 16th overall pick in the 2009 draft out of Northern Illinois, English started only nine games in five years and played in just 52 of a possible 80 games. Playing mostly as a 3-4 outside linebacker, English did record 11 career sacks.

So far this offseason, the Cowboys have signed former first-round
picks Brandon Weeden, Amobi Okoye and linebacker Rolando McClain. Only Weeden was on the field for practice on Thursday as the backup quarterback. Okoye was placed on Non-Football Illness list while McClain was en route to Alabama for a court hearing.

The Cowboys also signed former second-round pick Ryan Williams, who will compete for a roster spot at tailback.

On Wednesday, Jerry Jones said he’s always taken the approach of adding high-potential players at a low-risk cost.

“Those guys that were drafted in the first round - there can be many reasons why they are in some cases not only on a team but one of the real impact players on the team,” Jones said. “And if you took those reasons or the reasons that another team may have used and you make that decision for you, then you eliminate possibility given difference circumstances another time, a few more years down the road, a little more appreciation. You stand on the outside of the NFL and look in and let a little time goes by, you might appreciate the opportunity even more. That’s not uncommon.”

Spann got cut by the Texans recently. Baxter got cut by the Colts in the spring. Wedige got cut by the Bengals end of last year and retired basically. Progar got cut by the Jets last year and never resigned. Ashfordnever got resigned after being cut last year either.

I don't think ashford ever made a practice squad. Baxter was practice sways for steelers til week 4 or so was cut then picked up by the colts near the playoffs and was cut in the spring.

yea, good idea.
I normally would not pay a lot of attention to most of the NFL teams, but with preseason I like to see how our guys are doing.

It is really a shame that Martel didn't get anywhere in the NFL. I always thought he was a talented kid. He made some great plays for the Huskies.

NFL Network replays every preseason game, just look at the guide for replay times
