Thats cool, but it sounds like he is in a special circumstance since it is a 90 minute delay to not go down that road. In most areas you aren't going to get people to pay that kind of money to save them 10 minutes.

One pound per trip. And that is for him to make profit on a timeline of under 2 years. Imagine if that thing had a longer maturity. Tolls could be a quarter. It would be less than the cost of gas to avoid the toll. That makes it environmentally friendly even.

I just think it would be hard to find a company willing to put up with the risk/reward in most situations that would be as time limited as this.

Bristol is my home town, the road to Bath is crap at the best of times. Like these guys I've had a lot of great ideas over a pint, the problem is that I forget them by the next morning.
