Wow - very good to see Michael Turner involved.

I think it would have been nice if NIU/Athletics had announced this like right after the kickoff time was announced. It had already been announced that there would be no "NIU Hotel" because fans likely had their own personal favs out in Vegas. How many people have already made all of their arrangements? We are only 40 days days away from game day.

From how I understood it I think this was originally only going to be for high level donors...so maybe they had a few open spots and wanted to open it up to the diehards that are not?
