I think there's also the possibility that a pure PG will be brought in before the semester begins. That could shake things up even more, or it could settle things a bit.

King is the 3. Period. Woodson is the 2, shoots lights out and is tough. Burrell is really good, but it's gonna take him some time. Pookie is ahead of Crawford right now. Comfortably. Iverson sees big minutes in several spots and Hawkins is a hammer and will play a lot. Dom is going to be really good.
There are minutes to go around.

Yeah, I think you have it right - at least for right now. Will be interesting whay the games up north reveal & who shows up.

I agree with your statements, although I think Burrell will eventually start if he is as good as advertised. Players of his reputed skill set are rare at the college level.

I think the Canadian trip will reveal many aspects that will prove useful for molding our team for optimal performance. It is unfortunate Burrell will miss it.

I'm thinking more like Lynch at QB. Hayes at RB. Craig, Craft, and Malone at WR.

I think Oscar in right will end up being better than Allan Craig in right.

I agree a veteran point guard like a transfer would really help the young guys. He would be able to keep the team focused and hopefully help the young guys stay calm in crucial times during games.

Its august.

Aren't we running out of time to sign a transfer to play this year?

How much time is left?

The only thing I know is not to underestimate pastners ability to pull a rabbit out of his hat. Won't surprise me if he does it again.

Any veteran PG we'd get now is probably gonna come with some baggage. We're OK with that...right? I mean we already have at least one who is a handful in that department.

Yea your probably right. Wouldn't be a high quality pg anyway. Would be nice to have someone other than first year players running the team all of the time. Maybe Pastner can get a Pellom type guy that plays pg that could help with minutes but also help be a leader for the young tigers.

I wonder if he'll charge into a crowded middle like Derrick Rose did and pop up like a jack in the box.

That is exactly his game and he has a very strong finish. Drives to the basket and is very strong. Of course that has been against juco teams but you can just tell he has the goods. As well as our other juco transfer Chris Hawkins at the small forward. Both go after the rim on both ends of the court. Expect good things from these two.

Agree, this would be the opening day line up if we're starting play today - and it might be the line up all year if they perform. Lots of unknowns. Hope Woodson is the same shooter in real games he's been in practice, hope King is the offensive player he showed in HS, hope Shaq doesn't disappear has he did some last year, hope the team gets the ball inside, hope Nichols is consistent threat from 10-15 ft. Despite the hope, I'm afraid we will have trouble scoring & we won't dominate on defense. Lots of unknowns.......
