Temple picks up NJ native Keith Kirkwood, who is transferring from Hawaii. Kirkwood is 6'3 210, and will be a redshirt sophomore after sitting out this year.
In his freshman season at Hawaii, Kirkwood had 12 receptions for 250 yards and 4 TDs. His 20.8 yards per catch easily lead the team. His first game, against USC, he had 2 receptions for 84 yards and a 60 yard TD. He was #6 on the team in receiving yards and #7 in receptions.
He was slated to be between the #1 and #3 WR at Hawaii this year (3 of Hawaii's top 4 WRs graduated).
If you're wondering why a kid from NJ would go to Hawaii, they were the only FBS school to offer him a scholarship. He was set to walk on at Rutgers, but decided to accept a scholarship from Hawaii at literally the last second.
No idea if it's just a coincidence, but Temple's new OL coach was at Hawaii last year.
Kirkwood adds a tall, strong playmaker that we badly need after losing Robby Anderson. Kirkwood's TDs went for 60, 23, 33, and 40 yards.
