I'm sure we can all agree there have been some other greater MAC accomplishments by MAC schools if it had been the 10 GreatEST list. I think this was just a non-MAC writer from SB Nation that was trying to give the MAC some props.

Great point.

RE: 10 Great Moments in MAC History!
And yeah, I know it's the best 10 moments, but it all has to be viewed in perspective: In terms of huge events for the MAC in football, the first was Miami's win over Purdue in 1962, the first time a MAC squad beat a top 10 team...then you go to the Chuck Ealey led Rocket teams that went 35-zip, and then the 73-75 Miami teams that went 32-1-1. Think of it, in that 3 year period Miami was ranked #15, #12 and #10 and in process best Florida, So. Carolina and Georgia in bowl games, and in fact dominated each in the games. Yeah, I'm a Miami "homer" but UT and Miami put the MAC "on the map" in football.....in years of late CMU and NIU has added to that legacy, but I doubt we'll ever be able to re-live the days of the early and mid 70's when Toledo and Miami ruled the world for the so-called "mid major" programs, and kicked butt when they played the big boyz!

Ohio almost putting up a hundred points on the Big East champion in the NCAA tournament. Ohio didn't just beat the Hoyas that nite they blew them off the floor.

Actually it called "10 of the greatest moments in MAC football history". So it's not necessarily the 10 greatest, just 10 of the greatest and they must be part of the FOOTBALL history. Not track, soccer or basketball. And citing stretches of say an outstanding 3-year run or an era is great, it's hard to define such as a "moment".
