Obama: United States "crossed the line" with Gitmo terrorists
So we "crossed the line" by getting info out of terrorists WHO ARE STILL ALIVE AND HAVE ALL THEIR PARTS while Obama drones men, women and children who didn't have Holder's lawyers on their side.

Oh, and Zero can also drone Americans if he wants to.

The man sissy is an embarrassment.

Quote:CNN) -- President Barack Obama acknowledged Friday that the United States "crossed a line" and tortured al Qaeda detainees after the 9/11 terror attacks.

The comments at a White House news conference were the President's strongest on the controversial subject since he came into office denouncing what he described as the Bush years of torturing alleged terrorists, also known as "enhanced interrogation."

"When we engaged in some of these enhanced interrogation techniques, techniques that I believe and I think any fair-minded person would believe were torture, we crossed a line," Obama said. "And that needs to be ... understood and accepted. And we have to, as a country, take responsibility for that so that hopefully we don't do it again in the future."

RE: Obama: United States "crossed the line" with Gitmo terrorists
What he fails to mention is that: (1) it continued under his watch, (2) that his handpicked CIA boss (the one who just got caught lying about spying on Congress) was part of the Bush Administration and supported torture, and (3) he granted immunity to those involved.

And, yes, it takes some seriously tortured logic (pun intended) to think his guilty-until-proven innocent drone campaign is somehow more ethical.

Oh, and if you think everyone who was held at Gitmo/tortured was a terrorist, read this:

Ultimately Americans want leaders to publicly denounce
torture while clandestinely using it as a necessary evil.

Seriously, what kind of man wouldn’t put the
thumbscrews to the bad guy in order to save his family?

President has two options.

"Do whatever necessary"
or
We don't torture. So dammit man, don't get caught."

Anything else, let the wife take a job and go home to bake cakes.

It's necessary at times. We do it. Everybody does it. Stay out of a position of power if you don't have what it takes to protect your people.
