Agreed, just glad Marshall caught this fast and got on top of it. Sure I want my Pirates to get the G5 slot, but I want it is question marks. I don't want because Cato lost his eligibility because of a student doing some shirts with his name on it. No cheap wins.

I seriously doubt ECU or Marshall will be up for that G5 slot at the end of the season. Also you do not have to worry about "cheap wins" as we do not play Marshall. If ECU has a good enough season to be in the running for the G5 slot I assure you Marshall will not keep ECU out even if they are undefeated. For ECU to be considered I suspect we could only have one loss and if we go through our schedule with only one loss there is no way an undefeated Marshall would get that spot over us due to their schedule this season.

You completely missed my meaning of cheap win, I don't want to win the G5 spot because Marshall didn't have Cato. The rest is pointless as I said I wanted, not that we would.

No, you totally missed my point. Marshall's performance has no bearing on ECU getting the G5 slot. If ECU is actually in the running for the spot Marshall will not be our competition even if they are undefeated due to the very weak nature of their schedule this season. To get the spot Marshall will have to be undefeated and hope most of the other "Top G5" teams have at least 2 losses. If there is a one loss Champion from the MWC, AAC, or Sun Belt they would all probably beat out Marshall for the spot even if they are undefeated. So to spell it out further for you…Marshall having Cato or not having Cato really makes no difference for ECU.

I hear ya. I'm just getting tired of the media and a few bad apples giving all of us a bad name. Not all Greek organizations are the same.

Marshall should first win all the games on their pathetic schedule and THEN worry about somebody COSTING them anything.

Since the shirt seems to reference the ATO Fraternity maybe Marshall should threaten to revoke their charter and kick them out if he doesn't stop immediately. I'm guessing the ATO's will get this resolved quickly if that threat is made.

You must really not like Marshall to try that hard to make this look like some kind of arrogance. Just so we're clear, you're suggesting the compliance officer should wait to see if Marshall goes 12-0 to worry about whether or not all their players are eligible?

They need to just distribute them within their fraternity and be done with it.

Just because they can't "sell" it, doesn't mean they can't make them.

This is so stupid that the university should have to be responsible for an individual that doesn't have anything to do with the athletic dept much less be on the athletics payroll.

I think I'm going to start selling merchandise for every player on Western's football team.

They aren't. The cease and desist letter is all the University needs to do to protect itself and the players eligibility under NCAA rules. As long as the University nor the player are active participants or making money off the project their is no NCAA issue. This is simply a scare tactic universities use to protect sales of licensed products.

The use of #herdnation reference is actually more of a legal question than anything else.

Fraternities have their advantages and disadvantages. MT had 12 or 13 fraternities when I rushed and I wrote about 7 of those off after the first night of rush and had it narrowed to 3 by the second night.

Some just weren't a good fit and some were full of every single negative fraternity stereotype you could think of, but painting all fraternities and all fraternity men with the same brush is moronic.

I acknowledge that it isn't for everyone and I would have had a great time in college without, but it was a worthwhile investment for me and plenty of others, but it has zero to do with buying friends, if it did I wouldn't have had friends in other fraternities or from the non greek community and I assure you I had plenty of both.

But please, tell me more about my "way of life".
