Considering it said unemployment went UP to 6.2% again. I'd wager they were part time (or govt. related) jobs.

And Tom, it's pretty obvious the difference in a 25 and a 40 hour work (heck, even 35 hour) week. 25 = No benefits have to be paid.

Is this another where we lost a chit load of full time jobs and gained a few more part timers?

The uptick in unemployment, 0.1%, is more related to people that had dropped out of the search for a job jumping back in. The percent of adults in the workforce increased by 239,0000, moved up to 62.9.

I haven't seen anything regarding a breakdown of part and full time numbers but it does look like there is a variety of job type hires. 22k construction, 47k professional/business, 28k manufacturing, 21k hospitality/leisure. Government was up 11k.

It was the fastest 12 month period of job growth since 2006.

It isn't great, but it is trending in the right direction. Lets hope it continues.

Even Biden said a few months ago that the O Administration never promised full time jobs, so I suspect a goog percentage of the 200,000+ are part time. But, yes, it's better than losing jobs. Yes, real unemployment is 12%+ and double that for people who look like Obama's son. Absolutely we want the growth to continue, but be full time jobs. The normal adjusting will happen in September so it could dip some. Also, keep an eye on companies adjusting for additional new taxes courtesy of ObamaCare.

Didn't that readjustment move the numbers up from the initial estimates the last few times?

It really is too bad Obama put all of those full time regulations into Obamacare that killed full time jobs. I know of a lot of single moms who this is killing. They cant earn a living wage from a job because they cant get enough hours in the week, so they end up having to juggle two jobs, which is much harder to manage than one.

Unemployment goes up when jobs are added often because people are looking for work again; unemployment that is generally used means those who are currently looking for work or on unemployment benefits, real unemployment adds in those who are not currently looking for work, which can have varied reasons, so unemployment = 6.2 "real" unemployment = at the aforementioned 12%

A job is a job. So what if it is part time. Something is better than nothing.

Tell all that to those who refuse to take them preferring a better living on the government dole.

So you you would take a job that only pays 60% of what you're making now along with having no benefits? Man, Obama loves you.
