Interesting deal then...usually those guys want exclusivity.

One of our largest, if not the largest, donor was head of Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co in Charlotte. Our basketball arena is named after her.

I have been with the Herd more or less since 1975, and Marshall was locked into Pepsi then until now. Coke guy myself, but Pepsi had the bottling company in Huntington and Nitro for years, while Coke had no main plant since the 1970s. Every cooler and container was a Pepsi Red-White-Blue forever in Huntington, shocked to hear it changed. 07-coffee3

Must be the year for change. Our pregame/postgame shows will be sponsored this year by Triple Crown Beverage, which is Budweiser. After all these years of Bud and Coke being forbidden treasures, Woody celebrates the good life in 2014! 04-cheers

BTW, see Guardians of the Galaxy - great movie, not just great comic book movie!02-13-banana02-13-banana02-13-banana02-13-banana02-13-banana

So Guardians of the Galaxy matches the hype? I was worried it might be a Green Lantern type implementation and miss on all counts. Glad to hear it is solid.

That's funny, my mom and grandmom are from Atlanta and I would get in more trouble drinking a Pepsi at 15 than drinking a beer.

ODU has been Pepsi since we added football, you got to go off campus to find a Coke.

UAB has Pepsi products (+ Dr. Pepper) at Bartow Arena

Both Coke and Pepsi products are available at Legion Field. Some concession stands offer one, some offer the other.

In Texas, they're all "Coke"

Dr Pepper is Coke, Pepsi is Coke, Sprite is Coke, etc.

Dr. Pepper is a Pepsi product in Huntington, I think. It's Coke/Pepsi, depends on the distribution deal.

I concur, excellent movie. All the characters are very likable especially Chris Pratt as Peter Quill. Just don't expect a Avengers 2 sneak preview at the end of the movie.

Yeah, that's the way I grew up as well. At a restaurant they would ask you what you wanted to drink. I would answer, "a Coke." They would immediately reply, "what kind of Coke?"

The same was/is true for Q-Tips, Xerox, Band-Aid, Kleenex, Scotch-Tape, Chapstick, Jell-O, and Clorox.

Dr. Pepper is a product of Dr. Pepper Snapple Group and licenses independently (mostly through Pepsi because Coke has Pibb Xtra) with commercial distributors because for some reason they don't do it themselves with RC, A&W, Dr. Pepper, 7UP, and Sun Drop.

I really prefer RC to Coke and Pepsi, but I can't remember the last time I saw it in a fountain anywhere.

Royal Crown Cola....................Me and my RC. That brings back memories. I prefer Coke products. I hated when ODU did not renew with Coke.

ODU with Pepsi most likely for the Gatorade that comes with the contract, and I can't complain Pepsi products are better in general IMO

the South is that way.

places that serve only pepsi must get worn out from saying "is pepsi ok"? because everyone orders a coke.
