Three times in the last 25 years (something like that), the preseason polls #1 team was the team that won the national championship. Twice it was FSU. Once it was USC (I assume).

Me playing the ACCbbs UNC Unwarranted Pre-season Accolades Drinking Game.

It's a working title .... I need a better name.

What are you talking about? We brought it in slightly over half our games last year. :-)

TBH I wouldn't rank us either, based on our performances towards the end of last year. I think we're a solid #30-35.

I give us a 20-25% chance of going 4-0 and a 60-65% chance if going 3-0. Who knows though? If McD radically changed our offense and we have an offense roughly equal to the one that we had during Nassib's last year, and if HCSS takes a very active role in our defense, we could be top 20 good. However, those are big "if's."

11 of 12 SEC schools ranked or receiving votes. I hope they get annihilated (as much as possible...) in OOC play this year so that number goes down.

UM has a good chance to get ranked, assuming we beat Louisville and are able to defeat Nebraska or Cincinnati if not both.

Correct.

ACC need a handful of teams stepping up....the coastal division is a wreck.

UNC is my hope.....they have a coach, can they hold onto him? UVA HAS to join the game soon.

For the ACC to gain football success the Coastal needs Miami and VT to get back to being where they were previously and Pitt, GT or UNC to do well when one of them have an off season.

The Atlantic should be fine with FSU and Clemson winning again but will need Louisville or SU to do well when one of them have an off season.

Cheers,
Neil

Honestly, unless they leave to take another job, I don't see how Jimbo (FSU) or Dabo (Clemson) have down seasons again. Both schools are recruiting elite level talent on a consistent basis.
