RE: What should I buy for my quater life crisis?
Better drugs. Worked for me.

PS: It would probably be better to go back to CC to start over rather than pursuing an expensive master's program.

Funny you mention that - just got my acceptance letter in the mail for the good old KVCC!

Good for you!

KVCC. Good times *sniff.*

Take a vacation to an area you would consider moving to.

Since you are a closet Sparty fan (not judging), if I were you, I'd make plans to see Sparty play Kentucky in November in Chicago. Or, plan a road trip to NYC to watch them play in the Coaches vs Cancer Classic.

Trip would be a lot better if they were in Hawaii, Bahamas or Puerto Rico this year...but you can't really do anything about that.

Or just go to Vegas.

MSU bball is playing Navy in Annapolis Fri 11/14 and football is at Maryland on Sat 11/15. I have a WalMart Wolvie-like MSU fan coming to visit me that weekend.

What's a "quater" life crisis?

Better yet, what's a "quater"?

I think it's 25. It's basically when you're not a young adult anymore -- you're an actual adult, past college age.

40 is the next hump (middle age)

Then 60 is the next one (elderly)

Then 80 is the final one (You're in OT: Going to die any time now)

Obviously Nacho has failed to pass "quater" yet.

Unless he thinks that's where future World Cup will be held.

% chance of getting an STD, or % chance of dying? :) Obviously the last one has the lowest % of getting an STD, and the highest of dying, so I can get that part out of the way...

Write down all that you have from stuff, to friends, to abilities, to personal abilities, to hobbies, to freedom, to family, and to life.

Value what you have and know EVERYBODY has issues/problems.

Basically, enjoy life....especially the life that flourishes all AROUND YOU.

RE: What should I buy for my quarter life crisis?
Don't worry about steering your career, or returning to school for additional training.

MSU is a great pedigree, but MI is a tough market. Your degree will get you an interview in a lot of fields, even ones you have little background in.

You're young. If your mobile and willing to take risks you can move up the food chain in a lot of companies. If you're tied to family, girlfriend, or just don't want to move it will be harder to find your ideal career, but it can still happen.

Sometimes it's all about timing. Back in the early 90s I knew a girl who was going to Valley and working at Hardings. She had a friend who worked at Subway in another state and convinced her to come work for her. She ended up buying a franchise (they were cheap in the beginning) and later bought 4 more.

Sometimes you have find opportunity and sometimes it will find you.

RE: What should I buy for my quarter life crisis?
I recently took a pretty big risk (professionally) and it has already paid off big time.

Take risks, and have faith and confidence in your decision. Had a lot of people in my life push me to do it when I was teetering, and they all turned out to be right. It was the best decision I've ever made. I look back it now and can't figure out why I didn't do it sooner.
