I voted Rice but then noticed the Owls travels to Marshall. Herd is extremely tough to beat at home.

That last second loss to Marshall is sticking in the throats of the players. With them being the pre-season favorites I think FAU is going up there on a SERIOUS mission to get revenge and play spoiler.

Marshall is a different team at home.

Marshall is a different team at home.

And Rice is a better team in November. Should be interesting.

Why you y'all think Marshall is so tough at home? Travel, weather, crowd? I am sure all of the above, but which is primary?

If we told you that, we'd have to kill you.

In Huntington a team from Texas has never beaten Marshall.

It will be on the road. I say UAB. Marshall is a totally different team at home. They catch UAB in the ham and UAB finally has a coach. UAB lost three games on the last play with an idiot at the helm. UAB's talent level is leaps and bounds better than last season.

RE: If Marshall loses a conference game this season
I voted for ODU because (1) it's an away game for Marshall, (2) the Herd will quite likely come in overconfident, (3) it is a stage set for the Monarchs to pull the upset, (4) Heinicke is likely the best quarterback they will face in conference and probably all year, and whoever beats Marshall will need to score beau-coup points, and...

(5) well, hey -- I am a Monarch fan!

Yet.

A lot of trends will be clashing in that game.

Like I said, should be interesting

Rice has never lost to Notre Dame in August. Bodes well for our opener.

Was going to ask the same thing. I went ahead and voted for this W Kent anyway because I figured they must be in Ohio and surely are good.
