OT: College Sports Trivia Thread
1. Name the only college team to have a backfield in one season with three future NFL HoFers? Who are the three players?

This is a trick question: 2 are already in the HOF...the third person is a slam dunk to get in when eligible.

Happy hunting:

Bonus Question: name the only other college to have two future HoF'ers in the same backfield.

Syracuse: Floyd Little, Larry Csonka, and you must be assuming Tom Coughlin to be HoF worthy.

That famous play designed on the board by Dennis Quaid in the "Express" movie. Note sure if Jimmy Brown really ran it...or Hollywood took some liberties.

Pretty sure Army doesn't.

Which would make me believe that Navy and Air Force wouldn't either. But I know that Navy has tried to adapt to the changing landscape of high division college football where Army hasn't. So ... that'd be just a guess.

Not sure about any others.

Correct the 3 Military Academies don't sign Letters of Intent. They receive Appointments. In fact Academies do not follow the 25/85 rule.

Name a athletic program (football and basketball) that has played in Japan.

Hint: the basketball team was among the most famous of all-time.

No, I'm thinking of a single school that has had both programs play there (and the football program played there twice).

Correct, Phi Slama Jama faced off against a Ralph Sampson-less Virginia team in Tokyo, who then in their next game lost to Chaminade WITH Sampson in late 1982. One year later, UH lost to SMU in the Far East and seven years later Houston's Run N' Shoot defeated Arizona State in the Coca Cola Classic in Tokyo.
