This may be one of the corniest gimmicks I've ever seen come out of a head coach.

Taggart is great at gimmicks.

If only he coached as well as he invented gimmicks.

Bingo! I don't buy the "USF fans are thin skinned" argument one bit. There are less USF fans right now because the program has been in the dumps the past few years. If they start winning again the fans will start to show up again.

Funny how USF fans were so arrogant and insufferable during their supposed "hayday" and yet are down to 3-4 members who all cry nonstop about being picked on.

They're not thin skinned. Every time they posted anything, they were attacked. Just look at my points. If I say something written by another teams fan base should be elsewhere Because it's in the wrong forum, bam, -points. It's a joke.

I can tell you honestly that a couple are on the 247 board and won't ever be back. It's not a matter of winning. We've has three bad years. Many teams here have had worse runs but, their fans aren't constantly attacked for expressing their opinion or making posts about their teams.

To many writing on a forum is just another fun way to pass the time. When it stops to be fun, time to move on.

I left last time because I said the BE was doomed to crash, that ESPN had it out for us. For that I was called numerous names and was constantly attacked when I posted. Almost every post came with -points. I left and guess what? I was right.

I get that, but this just seems like an odd and redundant way of saying "what's on the front of the jersey is more important than what's on the back". Having nothing but numbers on the back would send the same message.

I liked it. After the Carl Pelini drug scandal at FAU, the players voted to take their names of the back of their jerseys are replace them with "FAU" to show reinstate the "we're all in this together" mentality. Since then, FAU won it's final four games by a combined score of 151-40.

What's embarrassing about this is that the NCAA made a rule this offseason that only the player's last name can be on the back of the jersey, or nothing at all. It seems like all 129 FBS teams got this message, but USF. So now, after w few hours of announcing this plan, USF made a statement that their will be nothing on the back of jerseys but the players' numbers in order to comply with NCAA regulations.

I think those final 4 games had less to do with the jersey and more to do with the opponents.
