Let's just say you don't have the laid back nature of a BCer - just noticed it was Montreal.
I've been to both Montreal (nice) and Quebec City (even nicer) and they are both really cool, but definitely a more east coast vibe.
I love it in NYC, but sometimes I miss living on the midwest and west coast. As an adult the east coast hardens you and there isn't much to do about it. Big eastern cities just change you at a molecular level. I was a much nicer guy 10 years ago…
No complaints, I don't suck or anything, but I have an edge I didn't before. Not always desired, but sometimes useful.

Fair enough. In real life I'm extremely laid back. I have found BC people to be laid back, but aloof; whereas Montrealers have a reputation for being "bon vivants." We are looked at as a sociable people who like to go out and have fun.
It depends on where you go and who you bump into. A large portion of our population doesn't like English people and especially don't like Americans.

Maybe you and the "troll slayer" can meet up and you can sneak some of that beer back for Mick Light ?
I can't ask any of the players or coaches to bring it back, but I'll be happy to pick up a case in Montreal and bring it to the game with me if someone from the board is going to be here. I'm not sure how much beer you're allowed to bring back. It might only be 6 or 12.

What beer? I had some good stuff in Quebec, but the friends we visited in Montreal were pouring swill (not local).

Apparently Memphians love Unibroue.
To be fair, it's popular amongst many in the US craft beer scene.

It does have its following, no doubt. What is fun about them is that they put out quite a few seasonal beers, that come and go after a few months.
I've got a bottle of La Fin Du Monde in my beer fridge at home that I may have to get into this weekend and I think I might have to track down some Blanche de Chambly as well.

They've got 7 beers that BA scores over 90 and three (La Fin Du Monde, Maudite, and Trois Pistoles) that score 100/100.

The three names translate literally to...
La Fin Du Monde - The End Of The World
La Maudite - The Damned
Trois Pistoles - 3 Pistols/Guns
When the brewery started out, there was a converted train station that was turned into a bar in Old Montreal that exclusively served their beer; this is going back more than 20 years. A few people were a bit agitated about not being able to get popular beers, but the place ended really packing it in and I'm sure the beer had a lot to do with it.

I had the Unibroue Éphémère Cherry in Vegas about 6 months ago and have looked all over the US for it but can't find it.

Ommegang makes legit stuff as well. Actually in Cooperstown, NY, but makes the same type of Belgian beers.
