Those of us who live in the neighborhood care. We will have to look at it for the next 5 years or so. It is NOT esthetically pleasing as is and will NOT foster good will around the neighborhood when the University comes looking for concessions for the new stadium. A tasteful painting will solve the problem and foster much good will.

And the wall of portajohns is aesthetically pleasing? I would think an eyesore would encourage the locals to expedite the concessions to get rid of the structure that much sooner.

Was their ill will when it was a tent? I just don't understand your point of view about caring what it looks like (I guess similar to caring what neighbors homes look like), but ai acknowledge that it seems some people do cars.

I don't live in Norfolk but one universal truth, no matter what residential single family neighborhood one wants to talk about, is that you are a good neighbor. By that I mean that Old Dominion University should make every effort to assure that the exterior of the building is aesthetically pleasing to "our" neighbors. I see this as a great opportunity for our school to reach out to the adjacent neighborhood and do the right thing. Surely there is win-win here.

I love the two little benches. Must be some rule or understanding that a locker room have bench space, and we met the requirement with minimal effort. Now if only they pipe in a never-ending stream of Cher, Village People, and sappy Christmas Carols, that locker room would be epic. Hell, paint it pink.

How about painting something like this on the side of the structure...

"Old Dominion University thanks its gracious neighbors and friends."

Coach Hayden Fry had the Iowa Hawkeyes visitor locker room painted pink.

Paint it pink. A/C temp is 82 degrees when it is hot, heated to only 52 when it is cold.

Then pipe in the music from the movie "The Exodus". then count the suicides from opposing players......

I think Justin Bieber music would have a more nauseating affect on opposing players.

That's just mean. I think that's against the Geneva Convention.

How about is we say "with all due respect". Will that cover us under the Geneva Convention?

Now I like the confidence boost we've got in the Monarch Locker Room.
