Doggone it. Did not want to hear that. That kid has been through so much. Hoping the best for them.

Damn. Cancer is claiming three of my friends. Hoping research will end this dastardly disease soon.

I hear you New Mex...unfortunatley, it seems as though everyone is touched by cancer in some shape or form. My Dad's been battling a rare form of liver cancer for 3 yrs...typical life expectancy after diagnosis is 3-6 months. He's a tough dude...

Prayers for the Pikes and your dad, Tampa. I suspect we've all lost family and friends and it sucks enormously.

There are so many forms of cancer that the task is daunting to find cures/treatments - but it will eventually happen. The advances from humans seems to be impossible to grasp. 100 years ago there were barely functional automobiles - and about 60 years later, we landed men on the moon and then returned them to Earth. The advances in medicine are even more dramatic. I wish the best for her and Ben. It is a tough battle and as long as there is hope and time, there remain possibilities for a happy ending.
