Need info for App State/Liberty game
Greetings! A group of friends and I are planning to come down for the game. I was hoping to get a little info on where to stay, places to eat and if I we should get tickets before the game or can we wait till game day. We'll have 3 families, including children. Thanks for the info. Go Flames!

Since the Liberty game is App's Homecoming I would definitely recommend getting tickets ahead of time since the seats may be sold out. The visitors' section is on the the East side of the stadium in Section 109 and those tickets are usually alloted to the visiting school, so you may want to check with Liberty's athletic department first. If their allotment is sold out try sections 108 and 208 to be close to the Liberty fans. Plan on lots of traffic since its close to leaf peeping season. Single game tickets go on sale at App on August 1st I believe. Check the AppStateSports web site for gameday information for Parking and other info before the game. Welcome to Boone.

With a large group, you may find a cabin rental is a better option. I've used blueridgerentals.com and was happy with their service.

Thanks for the responses. I checked with our athletic site and tickets are available at $32 each. The office secretary said they expect a strong Liberty crowd. I have no clue what that means. 1,000, 3,000 who knows? I've also thought about the cabin rental which may work out well. I'm excited about the game, but the more I read, the more nervous I get. Appears you guys return most of your offense. If we can get by UNC that opening week without getting beat up and run off the field I'll be happy. I remember that UNC- ODU game last year. Thanks again!

While there are chain restaurants and hotels in Boone, I'd recommend the local restaurants and cabin rentals instead.

We do return quite a few players. At the same time, our team is still very young. I like the amount of experience returning on the O-line and the addition of redshirt freshman Terrence Upshaw to the backfield to afford us the opportunity of running some two back sets we haven't seen in ages.
