Honestly, as much as some don't want to BELIEVE, i think NIU is gearing up to try and position itself to move. I honestly think if we didn't fall apart against BGSU in the MACC and went to what would have been two BCS Bowls in a row, the Big 12 would've "picked up the phone if Frazier called", but due to that disappointing ending it set us back just a little (plus the bowl game loss didn't help much either, but morale wasn't on our side at that point). This 20 year plan the school has and the stadium upgrades that were tryna make happen ONLY point to moving up. The only place we fit is in the Big 12 (B10 geographically, but we dont have the academics).

That. +1.

57000 hits is amazing. Let us see some hard data what this week did. How many more tickets did we sell? Checking the Ticketmaster web site for the last five days I did not notice a lot of change. Are we holding back tickets on the west side for homecoming Oct. 11? The top 20 rows are sold. Strange blocks of tickets are not available.

We may not know for 8 years just how many more tickets we sold over the long haul because of this upgraded schedule. I know one thing for sure, Ive never seen this much off season excitement for NIU football.

Big props to Frazier and NIU athletics, schedulepalooza sucked me back into NIU football and got me more fired up for the upcoming season, great marketing move!

Well, he still deserved my comment I threw at him in his article.

Nice. What a tool.
The stereotypical comment by the guy with the OU hat about "pillow fight" with nothing to imply he went there or is from OK was classic.
BTW, to avoid confusion, I was *not* the OU guy. Based on my screen name and the last one putting up a comment (oddly enough, still not deleted) -- one can put two and two together there.
But yeah, I agree -- some of those comments were BS. OU needs to get over their loss to a mid-major with Adrian Peterson.

I find it people act like they don't care but they make a comment. If you don't care, move on. Also, they should throw that OU fan in the game and then ask him if it was a pillow fight when he gets his ass kicked

A LOT. Huskie Stadium is not expanding.
I bet you $100 it's expanded before the BYU game is played.
Does anyone else think it would be a bad business decision to expand a stadium that has maybe 1 or 2 sell outs at most this century, none of which were during the recent best run in team history?
No.
Not if, as many of us believe, Frazier wants to move us into a bigger conference. Stadium expansion is a must to do that. A 24,000 seat stadium just doesn't cut it if we're moving up.
It will be tough to get more butts in the seats at Huskie Stadium, but it can be done. Considering what Frazier has done in his short tenure at NIU, I believe in his ability to get this done.
I have agreed with FT's point of view but am being swayed to Bob's.

I've suggested "Hostage Night" but they can't seem to clear it through legal.
