Current 2015 AAC recruiting rankings (247)
I know recruiting analysis is a subjective art form more than it is a science and that player development and coaching are way more important. However, I'm a little concerned with the fact that only half our conference is averaging above the minimum ranking for a *** player (80.00). Not surprisingly, all 4 schools in the recruiting rich states of Florida and Texas are each averaging ***.

It's still early so hopefully we'll see some improvement and it should be cautioned that these rankings are somewhat skewed to reward the teams with a higher overall number of recruits. I would also like to see some **** action. The AAC may need to be more successful in football this year than it was last year in order to make a substantial impact in recruiting moving forward.

#36 Cincy: 17 (total recruits); 82.28 (avg. ranking); 17 ***
#71 SMU: 11 (total recruits); 80.89 (avg. ranking); 6 ***
#73 UH: 11 (total recruits); 80.22 (avg. ranking); 6 ***
#77 UCF: 8 (total recruits); 83.09 (avg. ranking); 8 ***
#79 ECU: 10 (total recruits); 80.02 (avg. ranking); 6 ***
#82 Temple: 14 (total recruits); 76.67 (avg. ranking); 6 ***
#86 UCONN: 12 (total recruits); 77.54 (avg. ranking); 4 ***
#91 Tulane: 8 (total recruits); 78.93 (avg. ranking); 2 ***
#92 USF: 6 (total recruits); 81.16 (avg. ranking); 5 ***
#101 Tulsa: 6 (total recruits); 78.11 (avg. ranking); 0 ***
#103 Memphis: 8 (total recruits); 75.25 (avg. ranking); 3 ***
#123 Navy: 1 (total recruits); 76.67 (avg. ranking); 0 ***

Man, Cincinnati is kicking @$$... My surprise team here is Tulane, with new stadium now in place I expect them to climb the recruiting ranks here on, IMO.

And yet, Temple is ranked 55th by Rivals and 2nd in the AAC. Pretty big disparity there.

Last year, UCF's best recruits were flipped from SEC schools at the end of the recruiting cycle. We also nabbed a pair of good JUCO players. Hopefully those kind of things happen again this year. Regardless, I'm glad to see we've got a pretty good average player ranking already.

Would be nice if 247 rated the other half of our class.

Why rank any of the service Academies? Sure, they may do some recruiting but the last time I checked, you had to apply for admission - and there aren't any 4 star recruits that want to be in the military.

There are several that are being recruited in this late cycle. Most of the big names take longer and as bigger schools fill up some will drop to us. The good news is that we are in the too 5 an 10 for many five stars. It's a process.

I cannot fathom why you people are worrying about recruiting rankings, or stars, at the end of July.

What's going on with Memphis. . . It seems like their recruits don't have many offers?
