I know a few GSU players who had racial slurs hurled at them that would disagree strongly...

I'm sure there aren't any racist morons in Georgia. Maybe that's why the Atlanta area is so unhappy...there aren't any racists.

RE: Lafayette voted happiest city in the US
I used to be happy where I'm at. Then 40 billion Ohio-nites and others moved down here. Nothing against one or two northern-ites, but they're kind of like migrants from south of the border. First one or two come, then they bring their families over and they bring their families and next thing you know, they're everydamnwhere. And when you can't turn around at a local grocery store without some lard-butted Ohio woman with a Buckeyes sweatshirt getting in front of you and talking in that gadawful accent ...

That sounds like hate speech. It's not. I'm just one of many who're kind of wishing they'd close the border north of Dixie. Say, just north of the Maryland-Virginia line.

So the only area in the south that is pissy is Atlanta, must be the traffic.

Talking about racial slurs and threats were made towards GSU players in the Cajun Dome after we beat UL. And you can call bullshirt (?) all you want.

Seems I recall similar comments being made about GSU fans following the Cajuns game there. I'm never a fan of that type of situation and have called for security if I ever heard it in the stands near me, but student sections sometime get out of hand. I'm not excusing it, and I'm not condoning it, but it has happened.

I'm also not a fan of players acting out on the court trying to show up opponents. I feel that's a lack of class and represents poorly on the coaching staff and school as well.

did you personally witness this? The student section is right behind the visitors bench. UL oficials and police are crawling all over that area, all over the Cajundome. If, IF this was said the incident was handled immediately.

That in itself is just trying to slur Lafayette.

I don't get how Mobile and Pensacola didn't end up in the dark blue.

I am guessing we were too busy thinking about the beach to take the quiz seriously.

Mobile is a nice city but I wouldn't call it anything unique or special. Orange Beach and Pensacola Beach or okay. I could live there and be happy. All of Louisiana is blue except the NOLA area. NOLA is a real happy place if you don't get shot. I wouldn't live in Baton Rouge, Alexandria, Monroe or Shreveport unless I was earning big bucks. Many of the blue spots make me question the validity of the poll.
