Yep, NIU has offered several 6'4 and bigger guards for the 2015 class.

So if that's the case, why are we "showing interest?" You've got two Division II programs (Lewis and Grand Valley State) plus a bunch of programs we consider ourselves to be better than. Let's stick with the "several 6'4 and bigger" guys we've offered.

Stumpe can play. For an NIU comp he kind of reminds me of Todd Peterson. Never met a shot he doesn't like. Can score from range and while not an elite ath he can create his shot. He fills a need for us, would be a good get especially if his ball handling has improved that much.

Yea, considering the improvement in the past year (which I hadn't seen much of before that, admittedly) I'd certainly give him the benefit of the doubt. I'll just wait to see what kind of magic he can pull off this year.

Even looking at a few of the guys he brought in or almost brought in during those bad years, it is still impressive (speaking of his recruiting skills).

Scottie, the Todd Peterson I remember was 6'9"+, could never create his own shot but with great length, could shoot over most guys, played the stretch 4 spot and was a helluva rebounder and an all time great free throw shooter.

Just that he can shoot from range and has the height to get it off...the sentence structure of my comment wasn't great (never is on the boards). 6'7 maybe on Peterson.

Stumpe could be an improvement to the roster if he has improved his handles and create space with the bounce.
