Florida Lawman Wants to Indoctrinate Kids
Can you believe the nerve of this liberal? Oh...wait....

Quote:Republican Alan Hays, a Florida state senator, was so taken with Dinesh D’Souza’s docudrama America: Imagine The World Without Her that he immediately went home and began drafting legislation that would require every public middle and high school in Florida to have mandatory showings of it unless students had a written note from their parents objecting.

And my favorite part:

Quote:“I’ve looked at history books and talked to history teachers and the message the students are getting is very different from what is in the movie,” Hays said. “It’s dishonest and insulting. The students need to see the truth without political favoritism.”

Hold on a minute. Public schools are banning books with a conservative slant and blocking conservative websites. They're pushing a pro gay/pro illegal agenda, and this is what you come back at us with? It's a documentary! Didn't they show documentaries when you went to school?

And I guess you don't recall Obama when he addressed school kids nationwide as a captive audience. I told the school I'm opting my kid out. The black principal was not amused.

If I was a govt. teacher I would show it. You need both sides of the story to form an objective opinion. You righties shouldn't be afraid of Obama giving a speech to school children either.

I'm not afraid. Obama is pretty stupid and kids can see thru that. Besides I want him front and center in their minds when they wonder why their parents are losing jobs, and there's so much violence from immigrants.

Capitalism A love story followed by Dinesh's America.

Draw straws and have kids write a paper defending each view. Would make for a great couple of weeks of class.

I'm actually gonna side _against_ Hays on this one. If a teacher wants to voluntarily show the film, go for it, and more power to them.

But to make a law suggesting it's mandatory? No thank you...

Still no clue who Timmy is or why you keep calling me that. If you think it hurts or insults me...no...sorry...wrong as usual. I only laugh at whatever stupid thing you think you're accomplishing.

Poor torchy! 03-lmfao
