Wouldnt you liberals think that if illegal aliens from other countries are treated well and welcomed at the border, that our own kids who are citizens should get the same welcoming treatment? Or are boyscouts just too conservative for your taste?

What's frustrating is we got folks coming from the south entering into the US without a passport. A few weeks ago I had the chance to go into Canada but don't have a passport. I could enter Canada just couldn't leave.

Really, really bad. It may take him years to get the video, if ever. He'd have to file a lawsuit to get it.

Two sides to the issue. and have not heard the other. Terrorist would have no problem using kids in boy scout uniforms. The agents were doing their job. Alaska is not exactly a liberal area. Everyone knows it is the girl scouts that are radical.

On th eother hand the border agent may just be a jerk.

So, when does the kid get his camera back?

There's two sides to the issue, and the entire incident was videotaped. The border patrol refuses to release the videotape. THat tells you everything you need to know. If that agent hadnt pulled the gun, the video tape would have already been released showing that it never occurred .

The tape will eventually come out in a FOIA request or a lawsuit, but it will likely take months.

Like it or not, the Fourth Amendment has very little force at the border. The searches are administrative searches, not law enforcement, in service of a compelling need to control what enters the country (or something similar). It's the same reason they can check your bags when return from an international flight.
